Day 1 AmmanArrive Queen Alia International Airport, meet and greet and transfer to your Amman hotel for overnight.Day 2: Umm Qais, Ajloun and JerashMorning tour to Umm Qais one of the most important Greco-Roman Decapolis cities.Following this drive to Ajloun to visit its Castle (Qal'at Ar-Rabad) built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD. From the top of the castle, you can enjoy panoramic views into the Jordan Valley and throughout the highlands of north Jordan. Following this drive to Jerash a close second to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan. The ancient city of Jerash boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. The city's golden age came under Roman rule and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Then back to Amman for Overnight.Day 3: Amman and Desert CastlesMorning tour of Amman Visiting the downtown market and city center and its traditional souks. Following this drive to the Islamic medieval desert castles that offer a number of fortresses with fresco art and zodiac dome. You will visit Qasr Amra from the Umayyads era, Qasr Kharaneh a Roman then Umayyed fortress built and completed in 710 AD, and Qaser Azraq where T. E Lawrence of Arabia had his headquarters. Then back to hotel in Amman for Overnight.Day 4: Madaba, Mount Nebo and Kerak CastleAfter Breakfast, depart to Madaba "the City of Mosaics". One of the most memorable places in the Holy Land, visit the the contemporary Greek Orthodox Church of St. George and its 6th century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites.Then continue to Mount Nebo to view the panorama of the Holy Land. Following this continue to Bethany and the Baptism site of Jesus Christ and the place where John the Baptist lived. Then drive to Kerak overlooking the Dead Sea and considered as one of the oldest cities in the region and famour for its Crusader castle soaring above the valley.Then drive to Petra for check in to your hotel and overnight.Day 5: PetraFull day visiting the lost city of Petra, the eighth wonder of the ancient world. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataens, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt. Following your tour you will be transferred to Wadi Rum for your overnight camping experience.Day 6: Wadi Rum and AqabaAfter breakfast, depart to the magical desert of Wadi Rum, home of “Lawrence of Arabia”. Upon arrival, enjoy a mint tea at the Visitor Centre, before you take one of the jeeps owned by the local Bedouins for a trip into the many sites in the moon-like landscaped desert. Late afternoon you will be transferred to Aqaba. Overnight in Aqaba.Day 7: Dana reserve and Dead SeaAfter Breakfast visit Dana a small village on the edge of a large natural gorge, Wadi Dana near the city of Tafilah in central-western Jordan. It enjoys a spectacular view over Wadi Araba. Dana is one of Jordan's premier nature reserves and eco-tourism facilities and was established by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature under the guidance of Queen Noor, then continues to Mujib Nature Reserve is the lowest nature reserve on Earth. Following this transfer to Dead Sea. At 417 meters (1,312 ft.) below the sea level, it is one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world and the lowest point on earth. The Jordanian east coast of the Dead Sea has evolved into both religious and health and wellness tourism hub of the region. Spend the day sunbathing, swimming and be amazed that you can’t sink! Overnight in Dead Sea.Day 8: Dead SeaMorning free for leisure possibly to enjoy a massgae or take a spa treatment or to enjoy a further swim in the Dead Sea. Then depart to Amman and transfer to Queen Alia Airport in Amman for your flight back to the UK.
