An extended classical Egypt tour spends a week travelling up and down the River Nile between Luxor and Aswan, visiting all the major sites en-route. These include the Temple of Karnak and the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, the temples of Edfu and Komombo, and the island temple of Philae in Aswan. Followed by 3 days in Cairo visiting the major sites including the Great Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum

- Itinerary

Day One Arrive at Luxor airport and transfer to your cruise boat. Check in to your cabin before dinner and over night on board. Day Two Enjoy your first sunrise as we set sail on our journey to Esna, relaxing during your first morning as the Nile drifts by. Following this we take lunch before crossing the lock and sailing on to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board. Day Three Morning sightseeing of Edfu, and the extraordinary Temple of Horus. Following this we sail onto Aswan via Kom Ombo enjoying lunch on board and then afternoon free for leisure. Dinner and overnight on board. Day Four Morning excursion to the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Following lunch the afternoon is free for leisure. Dinner and overnight on board. Day Five Morning free for leisure, possibly to explore Aswan. Lunch on board and then an afternoon felucca cruise along the Nile. Dinner and overnight board. Day Six Early morning sailing to Kom Ombo, where we visit the Temple dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Lunch on board as we continue sailing north enjoying the Nile views. Day Seven Arrive Luxor in time for lunch on board and then afternoon excursion to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the imposing Colossi of Memnon. Day Eight Visit the East Bank Temples of Karnak and Luxor before transfer from your Nile cruise boat to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival at Cairo, meet and greet by a local representative. Transfer to your hotel for check in for 3 nights. Day Nine Full day tour to include the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the sites of Sakkara and Memphis. Day Ten Full day city tour to include the famous Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Khan Khalili Bazaar and old Cairo. Day Eleven Transfer to the airport for your flight home
